Staff Bio

Dr. Megan's experience includes child development having provided individual, family, and school services and treatment to enhance children's well-being. Treatment included diagnostic testing incorporating cognitive, executive, and emotional functioning. Results would be used to communicate with family and school staff with advocacy for the student in their IEP and accommodation planning. Dr. Schaecher-Pecek provided individual and family interventions to treat children and adolescents with a variety of clinical presentations. This included systemic collaboration for successful treatment outcomes in personal, occupational, intellectual, and social and emotional functioning. Dr. Schaecher-Pecek has specialty in working with children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD and comorbid symptoms and presentation. She observed a system that would oppress and stigmatize neurodivergence which continued to lead to exacerbated difficulties in overall functioning. ND Psych Services is dedicated to changing the way we view and attend to ADHD. We offer educational workshops for you, your loved one, and your students to create an environment for acceptance and success.



Dr. Schaecher-Pecek has extensive training in complex trauma, depression, anxiety, risk behaviors, impulse control difficulties, distress, high risk behaviors, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal effectiveness, biological and environmental contributors to development of behaviors, and intersection with executive functioning. She is trained in evidence-based practice of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy for Depression. She has worked with many ages in development from age 3 to 100+. Clinical settings in which she has experience include community mental health, home-based services, school-based therapy, inpatient hospitalization, outpatient mental health, assisted living facilities, telehealth, and Veteran's Affairs serving our nation's heroes. She has provided training to providers, clinical supervision of trainees, and has served on several professional committees and interdisciplinary teams for clinical care coordination. 



Her clinical experience and expertise are dedicated to changing the way neurodivergence is perceived and working within the self and systems to reduce stigma and improve our compassion with effective treatment.
